Part Four

Relena moaned and put a hand to her forehead as sunlight streamed through the rented room. She turned slowly and winced. Her whole body hurt, her head hurt, and her stomach was churning. “Ow…” The sound of her voice hurt her ears and she slowly sat up. Somebody pulled open her door and Hilde bounced in.
“Wakie wakie Rel!” Hilde chirped and sat next to her on the bed. Relena winced and put her head between her legs.
“Don’t talk so loud.”
“Hangover? Poor gal. Here!” She put a finger to Relena’s temple and blue water seemed to flow from her and into the brown haired girl. Relena gasped and sat straight up, “What did you do!?”
Hilde grinned, “Does it hurt anymore?”
“No…”
“Yay! See, Duo was complaining about being sore after riding Shinny and I just tapped him, that happened and he was all better! Cool, huh?”
“Uh, yeah… It does come in handy. Who’s Shinny?”
“Shinny is what I’m calling that cute black stallion of Duo’s… Kind of a cute shortening of Shinigami.” Hilde suddenly began to giggle, “Can’t wait till you see Heero!”
“What do you mean?” Relena had a very bad feeling about the reason behind Hilde’s grin.
“You don’t remember!?” She started to laugh, “It was so funny! You threw yourself at Heero! ‘Oh, Heero you just look so sexy in that armor!’ Priceless! It was priceless!” She laughed harder and Relena paled. “I didn’t even know Heero could blush!”
Relena’s eyes rolled upward and Hilde stopped laughing. “Rel? Rel! Oh darn… She fainted.”
“DUO! DUO! HEERO! RELENA FAINTED!” Hilde ran down the inn’s stairs and stepped on Wufei’s tail. He yelled and Ruby fluttered upward, “I didn’t do that! It wasn’t my fault!” She yelled and Foxy snickered.
“THAT WAS MY TAIL YOU IDIOT!”
“Hey! Don’t call Hilde an idiot!” Duo jumped up and he and Wufei glared at each other. Hilde and Ruby rolled their eyes, “Males.” Hilde looked around, “Where’s Heero?” The sound of pounding footsteps reached her ears and she turned to see him running up the stairs. “Oh…”
Ruby glared at the two glaring boys, “You two, stop! We have a bigger problem on our hands! Quatre’s been kidnapped by some pirates who’ve sailed to god knows where and we’re not even sure if Trowa escaped or not!”
Hilde shook her head; “He escaped. I can sense some people, one close by… And the other is slowly moving farther and farther away…” She closed her eyes and a confused look crossed her face, “Wait…”
“What is it?” Hilde was so far the best out of them at sensing out the others. Duo peered at her and she opened her eyes.
“I’m guessing the one I sense that’s moving away is Quatre, but the weird thing is…” She frowned and Duo nearly strangled her. “WHAT?!”
She glared at him, “No need to yell, Duo… There are two moving away… Somebody else that doesn’t belong here is WITH Quatre.”
“WHAT!?” The group was awarded some strange looks from a few of the inn’s other inhabitants as they all yelled in unison, minus Foxy, Heero, and Relena of course. Foxy just looked thoughtful; a very rare look for the flirty female.
“How did you even find out the princie was kidnapped by pirates?” She asked and Ruby, who was seated on Wufei’s shoulder, piped up.
“Me and Wufei spotted the ship from air as they dragged him aboard… We would’ve gone to get him, but then some of those stupid archers that had come along with some of those guards started shooting at us…”
“More bad luck, like usual.” Foxy grinned as Ruby simmered. The fox girl continued, “Did you catch the ship’s name?”
Wufei, who was now holding onto the enraged fairy, nodded. “Something Widow…”
Foxy paled, even her tails turned a startling white. “The Black Widow?! HE GOT CAUGHT BY THE BLACK WIDOW!?” She yelled and grabbed at her large fox ears. “He’s doomed! DOOMED!”
“WHAT!?” A few of the other patrons of the inn were now moving away from the weird, yelling group.
“The Black Widow is the ship that holds one of the deadliest pirates on the six seas!”
Duo snickered, “I thought it was seven seas.”
She glared at him, “It was, but the seventh heard that the Black Widow was planning on sailing it and dried up in terror… The most conniving, devious seductress of them all is the crew’s captain, Captain Dorothy Catalonia… Poor princie ain’t got a prayer.”
Everyone in their small group sweatdropped, “Dorothy Catalonia?”
Duo was the first to recover and was soon rolling on the floor laughing, “Poor Quatre!”
“Oh… Where am I?” Relena blinked as a face filled her vision. Strong, protective arms were holding her and the face was very familiar. “Heero?”
He let go of her quickly and stood up as she raised to her feet too. “The others are downstairs… Talking about the problem of Quatre and Trowa. Come on.” He walked out of the room and she followed.
“Wait… What happened? The last thing I remember was Hilde…” She stopped and turned red, “Uh… Nevermind…” He didn’t falter, but seemed to speed up and almost run down the stairs. Relena slowly began to grin, “Darn… Wish I did remember… Heero blushing?” She chuckled at the image that thought brought and followed the half-running boy. ‘Maybe that little slip with the wine wasn’t such a bad thing after all… I do believe I embarrassed the poor boy!’
“Argh! ARGH! ARGH!” Dorothy yelled and kicked at the wall. This was a disaster, an utter disaster… Across the room, sitting on her large bed, was Quatre. His concerned eyes followed her as she paced the room, every now and then stopping to send a good kick at the ship. “If it had been anybody else! ARGH!” She turned on him angrily, “This is hopeless… We’re both going to be killed!”
“Miss Dorothy, I’m sure that this isn’t that bad… At least we found each other… Though I don’t understand why you kidnapped me and then set sail… Could you please explain?”
“Stop being so formal! ARGH! You wanna know what’s going on, sweet little Quatre?!” She pulled a chair from a desk nearby and positioned it in front of him. The chair was turned backwards and she straddled it, glaring at him. “Here, I’ll start off from the obvious. Me and you and the others were all sent to some other world because of Heero’s little incident with that bloody detonator of his… Each of us were assigned certain… lives? Jobs? Almost like we all have doubles and we were thrown into their lives… You are Prince Quatre; I am Captain Dorothy Catalonia… However, this would not be that big of a problem if it weren’t for those people around us… My supposed crew will probably kill me if they believe I’m an imposter, so I’ve been acting my part…”
“Relena and I had to do the same thing… But what’s wrong? The crew here seem to believe you are who you are.”
“I’m not finished!” She hissed and he apologized, she rolled her eyes and continued. “You don’t know what the Dorothy in this world is like…” Dorothy began to turn a slight shade of red and he stared at her curiously. She forced herself to explain, “She’s…something of a seductress… This entire crew is in love with her… With her, not me! If that wasn’t bad enough, she made a bet with another pirate captain named Daniel… She betted that she could turn the prince into her newest conquest, if she won she got his ship and a prince. If she loses, she would be forced to become Daniel’s newest scullery maid…”
Quatre nodded, “That does sound like a bit of a problem… However, it’s her problem not yo---.” He suddenly stopped and turned red. “But she’s not here… You are… And the real prince isn’t here…” he couldn’t finish.
However, Dorothy finished almost with a gleeful menace, “But you are. See bad enough I’ve got to worry about this bloody crew… But that Captain is supposed to be coming soon, like tomorrow or the next day… If I lose, which I will, then…” Her voice trailed off and she looked away, eyes focusing on a map in the room.
Quatre swallowed, “I-I-I… Are you absolutely positive they’ll force you to keep this bet?”
Her voice was a tad bitter, “I know for a fact they will… A pirate’s code of honor isn’t huge but keeping bets is on the list… If I try to weasel out of it, even if they do supposedly love me or lust or whatever, they’ll still kill me… You will probably just be ransomed back to your ‘father’.”
The blond sighed and looked at the ground, “A person has to do what they have to do…”
She looked up, “And what does that mean?”
Quatre looked up, his face was still red with embarrassment, “Means we’ll have to trick this Captain Daniel and your crew till the others come and rescue us or we escape…”
“Oh my god… Are you insane?!” She jumped up, pushing the chair back to its original spot. “You have no idea how much acting this will take!”
“Then tell me.”
Her whole look was one of pure shock, horror, and…curiosity… “Tell you?” The corners of her mouth turned upward in a menacing smile. “To put it simply, you are going to have follow me around like a puppy dog begging for a treat…And…”
He swallowed again, nervousness evident, “And?”
“Those clothes have to go… No puppy of mine is gonna go around dressed like a stuffed turkey.” Slowly Quatre pulled off the heavy coat covered in gold embroidery, then stopped, staring at her with red cheeks. She raised an eyebrow, “What?”
“I can’t undress with you in the room…”
She laughed, half-amused, half-bitter. “If you can’t even take off a jacket in front of me then how are you going to be able to pull off this whole stint?”
“What do you mean? What does me and my jacket have to do with anything?” He had a very bad feeling about this. She turned, picked a bundle up, and tossed it at him. “If we are going to do this, that’s what you’ll wear.”
He opened it up and stared, “A pair of pants? Where’s the rest?”
There was a glint in her eyes, “That’s it and this…” She raised something and the glint of metal caught his eyes; it was similar to what that singing girl had worn.
“Oh no…”
Dorothy grinned almost predatory like, “Oh yes.”
Trowa tied the horse’s reins around a tree, leaving enough of it loose so the animal could graze. Jewel watched him from another’s trees shadows. He started to build a fire and her eyes followed his every move. “Who are you?” Her voice surprised him, but he didn’t let it show. He blew on the fire and tiny flames began to spark and engulf the branches.
“I told you, my name’s Trowa.”
Her eyes narrowed and he could see anger playing in them, “Then what are you? And don’t tell me you’re just a normal slave or jester… No slave or jester I know of or heard of could have just killed as many guards as you just did… Are you a demon? Or maybe a wizard?”
Trowa raised an eyebrow in mild amusement, “Not exactly…”
“You dare to call this skinny little boy a wizard?” A voice boomed from around them and Trowa jumped up. Jewel flattened against the tree as a dark figure appeared before them.
“Who are you?” Trowa asked and the figure smiled.
“Impertinent lad…” He turned toward Jewel and took a step toward her. He wore a black cloak and his silver hair shined in the darkness. He seemed to be of vast age, yet age didn’t touch his features. He was handsome with wisdom in his eyes. “Hello girl, coming home are you?”
She stared at him; “I don’t have a home to go to…”
Trowa, moving with catlike grace and speed, positioned himself between the man and Jewel. “Who are you?” he asked again, evidently not liking to repeat himself.
The man chuckled, “I have many names, boy… However most know me as Ravyn.”
“Oh no…” Jewel whispered behind him and the man smiled again.
“Oh no is quite right, my dear. Oh no indeed.”
(I know its kinda short, but thats it for Part 4)
